Indian Creek Fire Fighters was organized in 1972 and incorporated in 1973. The firestation was built by volunteers and donors. Money for expansion was obtained through a state "Build Indiana" grant, and ground was broken for the new wing in 1999. The new wing was completed in early 2000. An EMT service was put in place in 2004.
